Case 1 Major global PE fund
Theme: Value up support for a procurement department of investee company (automobile parts manufacturer)
The biggest theme in the value up scenario was drastic improvement of procurement costs, and there was a strong need to strengthen the functions of the procurement department.
We stationed a team in the planning unit of the procurement department to provide hands-on support to reform the method of setting procurement cost reduction targets, build a management process centered around KPI, build an organization and role design that functions globally, and recruit appropriate human resources.
Case 2 Major global PE fund
Theme: Value up support for an investee company
We helped PE fund members (outside directors) and the leadership team of the investee company to formulate 3.5 year reform roadmap by understanding as-is state and issues of the core business, in order to create common understanding of “issues for growth and the direction of measures”.
We also assisted in redesign and operation reform of sales function and organization, as well as development of new business model along the roadmap.

We conducted due diligence for PE funds considering corporate acquisition and post-acquisition business re-examination/evaluation in industries such as healthcare, chemical and materials, precision devices, finance, living and real estate, consumer goods, branded goods, apparel, retail and restaurants.
